Obion County Emergency Communications District (E-911) is located in the original Union City Fire Station 2 at the corner of S. Home and Howard St. in Union City. The dispatch center began taking calls on February 4, 1991.

Obion County Emergency Communications District         (E-911) is a continuous operations center. We are located at the corner of S. Home and Howard St. in Union City, Tennessee. Our facility houses the 911 dispatch center and the Emergency Communications District administrative offices.

Upon dialing the digits “9-1-1”, a 911 call is generated into the Obion County Emergency Communications District   (E-911) Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) from:

· Any wireline device within the geographic boundaries of Obion County or

· Any non-wireline device located in an area that has been designated to route emergency calls to the Obion County Emergency Communications District (E-911) PSAP.

The 911 PSAP Is equipped with Enhanced 911 (E-911) equipment, capable of receiving Automatic Number Identification (ANI)/Automatic Location Identification (ALI) for wireline and Wireless Phase II (WPH2) location information for non-wireline calls.
